  The environment is very important for our living. It is the place where we live. Our life depends on the environment. It provides us things that we need like water to drink, food to eat that gives nutrients, shelter to protect us and others. Everything that we see, everything that we are using comes from the environment.  We as humans have become dependent on luxuries such as cars, houses, and even our cell phones. But what does our love for manufactured metallic and plastic goods do to the environment? Things like overconsumption, overfishing, ocean acidification, pollution, ozone depletion, deforestation are dramatically impacting our world. Human activity can be directly attributed to the cause of hundreds of extinctions in the last two centuries, versus the millions of years that extinctions naturally occur.
