Letter to Mr. President
Dear
Mr. President,
It is a letter
expressing my thoughts about you and your presidency. For many years of leading
our country, I saw many great projects, programs, and activities you have
implemented that completely change our country. For example, about drugs, I
admire your courage to implement it even though it somehow connected to killing
that church doesn't approve of, not only the church but some other people too,
because it was against human rights. I want to say that I get your purpose on
that and somehow fix the problem by giving the drug-related people a chance to
surrender themselves properly but, again, some innocent people also suffer.
The issue about the country China claiming Philippine property is also
disappointing for the reason that I somehow recall that you are trying to
strengthen the bond between the Philippines and China before and after due time
they officially claim our property. I am also disappointed by your attitude. I understand
that you're being honest with yourself. However, I think it is too much to the
point that it seems not showing respect like cursing and all. Also, I
appreciate your actions toward this pandemic caused by the Covid-19. I admire
your immediate response and the solutions that you have made to address the
needs of our people. Needless to say, all of the great achievements you had
done for our country yet the criticisms you have received because of the
toxicity of other Filipinos.
All I can say now is
that I appreciate you as our president. And It is sad to know that your
presidency will be ending soon. You are one of the best presidents that we ever
had. And hopefully, you and the next elected president may continue to raise
our country's economy and status.
Yours truly,
Leonardo Reynon

This letter is similar to mine. I'm glad that wee see eye to eye on President Duterte. Let's hope that the Philippines recovers from decades of corruption and be able to flourish.
ReplyDeleteI admire your piece, not only have you discussed his great works but his inhumane way of addressing national issues too such as the infamous War on Drugs. Lets just hope that he will put into good use his remaining times as our president for the betterment of our country.
ReplyDeleteGood job Leo, you show to us that president is such a good leader
