The Month of
March as Women’s Role in History Month specifically aimed to give
recognition to the accomplishments and contributions of every woman in all
societies.
In the The Philippines, the Women’s Month Celebration has since served as a venue to
highlight women’s achievements and discuss continuing and emerging women’s
empowerment and gender equality issues and concerns, challenges, and
commitments. The celebration focuses on concrete activities that are aligned
with national and international instruments and treaties.
Women play a
vital role in human progress and have a significant place in society. Women are
not at all inferior to men. In the early days, women worked next to each other
with men. On the battlefield, they treated the injured, kept up the provisions,
and in specific cases even battled fearlessly. Indeed, even a few brave women,
led very successful rebellions to fight for freedom. Women had been
extraordinary holy people, researchers, artists, essayists, reformers, and
heads. Women should be given equal rights as men. Women can do a lot to change
society. They are exhibiting what can they do at their best. They are serving
as educators, specialists, architects, and even heads of top companies, and
associations. Giving more attention to
women implies more advancement in society.
The world will
be a better place when women are heard. Women have long taken part in
humanity’s long road of evolution, but only now are they acknowledged for the
critical role they play in shaping society. Now it is more vital than ever to
listen to what they have to say.
